2024 SUMMER SERIES – ON INTEGRATE
As an organization, we believe that faith and business should not be compartmentalized. Our vision and mission embody and inspire integration. In this panel discussion, we will examine the faith and business movement from a local, national, and international level. We will discuss both the opportunities and challenges of integration with three established leaders. Lastly, we will look towards the future specifically what needs to shift in order to maximize our collective impact and influence. Together, we integrate and hope.
Alana Walker Carpenter is a trailblazer. She has redefined what it means to lead, what success looks like, and the gift that love, compassion, and empathy can bring to the boardroom.
Serving in the capacity of CEO of Intriciti, Alana created and leads an organization to inspire business leaders to integrate their faith and business. Prioritizing relationships, collaboration, and stewardship, Ms. Walker Carpenter founded the Canadian Centre for the Integration of Faith & Business in 2024.
With relationships as her trademark, Alana makes generous space for all to have a seat at the table whether one has a little faith, a lot of faith, or no faith at all.
Prior to assuming her current roles, she practiced human resources for a downtown consulting firm.
Ms. Walker Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a Post-Graduate Degree from Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology. She received numerous academic and leadership awards prior to, during, and upon graduation.
With well-earned accolades, she continues to live out her calling. In 2023, she was honoured as a Global Corporate Hero. In 2014, she was named one of the Top 100 Christian Leaders in Canada and was three times nominated for the Top 35 Under 35 Award.
Outside of the boardroom, Alana can be found cheering her teenage son Carter on at the baseball diamond and volleyball court. Ms. Walker Carpenter resides in Canada with her husband and best friend Kevin. Together, they serve on a number of local, national, and international boards.
Amy serves as the Client & Industry Program Leader for Deloitte Canada. A key driver for Deloitte Canada’s market strategy, she understands Canada’s marketplace as relates to a professional services firm. Amy leads programming for Deloitte’s chosen clients that includes financial planning and forecasting, learning and development, communities of practice, and client & industry strategy.
Amy is a connector of both people and ideas. She brings together teams across Canada and globally, mobilizing what is required to ensure a seamless execution of specific projects and mandates. Amy sits on the Growth Leadership Team for Deloitte Canada, as well as the Global Client Council.
Amy is also passionate about developing top talent at Deloitte and has a keen interest in coaching and mentoring.
Jamie is a passionate people-leader drawing from 15 years of experience across various disciplines and industries including CPG, Energy & Retail. Describing herself as a ‘grounded optimist’ she is known for driving engaged, resilient teams, and fostering a culture of connection & purpose.
Her breadth of functional experience includes Sales, Marketing, Retail Operations, Sustainability & Supply Optimization. She has worked at leading organizations including Procter & Gamble, Suncor Energy and Starbucks Canada where she currently leads the Product organization; responsible for managing the success of Starbucks customer offering across Canada including, beverages, food, merchandise and packaging.
The benefits of working for a coffee company means Jamie has access to all the caffeine she needs to keep up with her young family! She lives in Oakville with her husband, Nick, their two children, Hudson & Lachlan and their high-energy vizsla, Charlie.
As Managing Counsel at Interac Corp. Colette Stewart is responsible for the development of Interac’s Privacy Management Program and continues to evolve the Program to enable Interac’s corporate strategy and market opportunities in digital identity and new Interac products/services. In her role at Interac Colette sits at the intersection of opportunity and compliance. It is there that she provides strategic guidance to her business clients to enhance privacy, support products/services that leverage the value of data and enable strategic priorities that utilize the value of data.
Ms. Stewart began her legal career on Bay Street in Technology then Corporate Finance/M&A. She transitioned to In-House Counsel, where she developed her breadth of experience across industry including retail, transportation, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications. In addition to her law degree, Colette holds a Bachelor of Science, is called to the Bar in Ontario, has obtained certification in strategy and continued education in cybersecurity.
Colette’s commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders has been a passion throughout her career. Ms. Stewart has also repeatedly been called upon to share her insights and guidance in law, privacy, digital identity, technology generally and, and as a featured speaker to motivate and inspire professional women and the new generation of young minds.
Colette has served her local Church community and on charitable boards. She has also reached the international community by participating in development projects in both the Philippines and India.
