The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Employee Event

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is recognized annually on September 30th, to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Hydro One will commemorate the day by hosting an Indigenous cultural awareness session to enhance Hydro One employees’ understanding of the historical atrocity’s experienced by Indigenous people and current day realities as a result of intergenerational trauma from their tragic past.

This year’s event will be held on September 29th and will address the question: What is the role of Corporate Canada, and our Role as Individuals in Advancing Reconciliation? The event will focus on how Reconciliation is changing Indigenous peoples’ and communities’ relationship with corporate Canada and Canadians.
